Description of the work
Specifications
We all know that the forest provides the planet with a multitude of benefits. Among other things, forests are home to a large part of terrestrial biodiversity and contribute to reducing greenhouse gases. In addition to regulating precipitation, forests act as true natural air conditioners. Trees also reduce noise pollution, have medicinal properties, and their root system helps prevent soil erosion. But what particularly appeals to me about the forest are all the therapeutic benefits that flow from it. Trees provide several health benefits, including contributing to a sense of well-being and reducing stress.

In the forest, all our senses are called upon, making for a multi-faceted experience. Admiring the greenery of the trees has a relaxing effect, as does listening to nature for soft sounds. The fresh scents of the forest are both invigorating and nostalgic, as they always have the aroma of happy memories. The forest is also full of pleasant tactile experiences, such as the gentle touch of bark on the palm of your hand. In my opinion, the benefits of a forest should not only be ecological, but also contribute to human well-being.
With this work, I wanted to express the feeling of serenity you get when you're in a forest. For me, it's a feeling of harmony between the environment, the body and the mind. It's a feeling of inner peace that soothes our thoughts and guides us to a state of perfect wholeness. The authenticity of the forest brings us emotional balance, reminding us to fully appreciate the present moment. This sense of serenity also translates into a feeling of physical and moral well-being, such as soothing, calm and happiness.
This painting is inspired by a superb photograph ofMatthew Sandoval. With its soft and muted colors giving off a soothing atmosphere, this forest with a small path invites us to come into contact with nature, in order to feel this sweet feeling of serenity.
