Description of the work
When it comes to going for a walk in the forest, fall is without a doubt my favorite season. During my walks in the forest, I enjoy photographing different elements of nature, which then become a source of inspiration for my artwork. This painting, therefore, takes its inspiration from one of my favorite places: Parc Nature Les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare.
On that magnificent late afternoon, I felt as though the forest was welcoming me with its finest features. Mother Nature had rolled out a carpet of colorful leaves along my trail, enhancing the palette of warm colors offered by the landscape. The countless leaves seemed to have stored up all the sun’s rays, only to reveal them one last time in the splendor of fall. And the scent! The air certainly feels purer under the trees! The richness of biodiversity exposes us to a multitude of aromatic substances, and I always feel that in the fall, these scents become more pronounced than usual.
That day, the trail unfolding before me offered a particularly evocative view. It seemed to invite me to walk through a small tunnel, leading to a magnificent shaft of light. On both side, the trees met at their crowns, forming a natural arch above the path, like a guard of honor celebrating me and awaiting my passage.
