It was a beautiful spring afternoon when I visited the future buyers to photograph their superb, imposing crabapple tree. The creation of a painting inspired by this tree would enable them to see it in bloom all year round. It was the perfect moment, for the blossoming was at its peak. Thousands of white flowers had just bloomed, stealing the show from all other surrounding vegetation. Flower buds were distinguished by their pink/red color, which gradually faded with each stage of the flower's bloom, until it reached a brilliant white when it fully opened. It was a day when the sun was shining gently, creating a translucent effect on the delicate petals, highlighting all the beauty nature has to offer.

But in the eyes of its owners, this tree has an even greater sentimental value than its ornamental value, having grown up at the same time as their children. Initially, it was carefully selected from among other congeners, mainly for its shape, but also for the hope, announced by their advisor, that it would one day be magnificent. His nurturing aspect was also considerable. Over the years, it became a source of food for the bees of a local beekeeper, as well as a stopping-off point for a few birds feasting on the crabapples before their migration.

So the tree grew, enduring life's little trials and tribulations, including a few hares feeding on its tender bark and branches during the first few winters. But year after year, it always provided the ideal backdrop for family photos, taking up more and more of the photographic space, becoming a family member in its own right over time.
