Description of the work

The inspiration for this painting came from a photograph I had taken on a trip to Hawaii, in a beautiful forest. We were on the Big Island, in the town of Hilo. This painting is a representation of nature, of a landscape that is quietly regenerating. Older trees, weakened by the passage of time, slowly give way to newer, stronger and more vigorous ones. A picture of impermanence, of life following its cycle.
